Charging a Model 3 at a flat-rate Irish retail tariff (~34c/kWh) costs about €1,290 a year. Smart-charged on the night-rate window of a Day/Night or smart Time-of-Use tariff (~17c/kWh), that drops to around €640. The cheapest retail hours track wholesale price and carbon intensity, both of which are lowest in the small hours.
